Thanks for looking, every ebay sale brings us a little closer to our dream!   This auction actually features my own dress from our wedding last November, I figure that people will be dress shopping for fall 2009 Weddings around now and this is the perfect time to sell my dress.  It is made by Mon Cheri for their Montage Mother-of-the-Bride/Special Occasion line and the color is a deep champagne with a slight orange undertone (again, PERFECT for Fall.) I purchased this dress brand-new from an on-line seller for $520, it is labled a size 20w but I did some minor alterations to bring it down to a street size 18. My measurements are: 47" bust and 41" waist- my hip measurement didn't come into account because the dress falls from the waist. A talented seamstress could really make some amazing changes to this dress, like adding a corset back for a better fit, a sweetheart neckline or could add sleeves. There is a lot of beading, my tailor could have made better changes if I had given them more time. As it is, there is no real evidence of the dress having been taken in- it had to be done at the side seams and they didn't compromise the beading at all. They did shorten the length slightly, I'm 5'9" in flats and they took about an inch off the bottom so it wouldn't drag. There are some very small eyehooks sewn in each side to hold the pashmina I wore in place, they are easy to remove. The dress was only worn from 6 to 11pm, some minor beading has come loose and I will admit that I did not have it cleaned. I came home, hung it in a plastic bag & it's been there ever since. I just checked it today and am amazed at what good shape the dress is in. Although I can not guarantee it, I may be able to find the small bag of extra beads, sequins and skinny spaghetti straps that came with the dress (I'll keep looking before auction end.) I do not have the scarf/shawl sold with the dress- it is being made into a curtain swag for our new home so I have something to remember my dress by. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
